the power of feminine authority in business

"Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world."

Hillary Clinton said that and I agree wholeheartedly.

Over the past 20 years, I've worked with leaders — men and women — in the executive office. From my vantage point I have learned much about how we interact and how we can get it very wrong. And as a young woman making my way in the corporate world, and then in my own business serving mostly senior male clients, I have made my share of mistakes and learned some valuable lessons — and been privy to some surprising truths and insights.

I've seen many changes in the whole 'women in the workplace' mix — what it takes to get ahead, how we dress, what we revealed about who we were and what we could do (and what we didn't), the existence of a glass ceiling, and then, once that was smashed (remember: it just takes one!): the seductive trap of the sticky floor. I've seen the before and after of 'gender diversity' initiatives and quotas in Boardrooms.

Something is still missing.

We still shy away from embracing and developing some of our best strengths and abilities — those afforded us by the very fact that we are women. I'm talking about Feminine Authority.

It is the key to being Visible.

Imagine if you were heard, your ideas had cut-through, you were fully present to be able to think on your feet and you were comfortable speaking off the cuff.
